One of the advantages of rubber bands is that they provide a steady resistance throughout the movement. For example, when training biceps with free weights, you only have the maximum load in the middle of the movement and when you lower the weight, it's easier to let it fall, so you do not have the important effect of the downward movement.

Different types of bands

The choice often depends on to which extend you want to travel with the bands and utilize the small breaks in daily life or if you prefer to use them in your more established training setup.

Bands are available in different strengths that provide varying degrees of resistance. It is recommended to acquire at least three different strengths, as different types of exercises require different resistance.

The degree of resistance in the bands can also be adjusted just by gripping higher or lower on the band. The shorter band, the greater the impact will be. In some cases you may also fold the bands double.

How to exercise

Training with Rubber Flexi Bands is really just about transforming your favorite exercises from the fitness studio. Typically you fold the center of the band over a fixed point, for example, the door handles, a radiator, the hinge of a door or you put your foot on the tape.

Just be aware that you are attaching the band to something very solid, so you do not suddenly get a flying door handle in the head.

The resistance is adjusted simply by gripping higher or lower on the band, folding the band double or even triple. You can choose a band with a different strength or combine two different bands.
